How to Stay Safe from COVID-19 During Imaging Scans
These are a few of the new standard practices imaging centers have taken: Centers operate with modified schedules to maximize social distancing. Practices limit the number of patients in any facility at a given time to lessen the possibility that patients will come into close contact with one another. Waiting areas for patients with symptoms of illness are isolated from other patients and regularly disinfected. Machines and imaging technologies are thoroughly cleaned between each patient visit. Staff are required to wear masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
